Working Together: Possibility to Opportunity during the Transition to Adulthood

Work Together NC is a Community Collaborative of self-advocates, family members, employers, educators, and service providers involved in systems change to increase employment opportunities for people with IDD. The WTNC team will provide an overview of the project. After their short presentation there will be a listening session where attendees will be invited to talk about their ideas for improving the transition process. This session will be Spanish interpreted.

Panel: Peer-to-Peer Support Relationships

Moderated by: Kenneth Kelty CIDD Disability Advocate, Western Carolina University UP Alum, Public Speaker and Podcaster


Join us for a panel talk around peer-to-peer support for people with and without IDD. Our panelists will be people with lived experience and peer support/mentors. We will hear about what makes a peer support relationship work, how it’s different from a Direct Support Professional role, and answer your questions. We also want to hear your stories!
