14. Project BENEFIT: Building Effective Networks to Engage Families in Improving Transitions

Description:

BENEFIT’s goal to improve healthcare outcomes for individuals with intellectual disabilities by improving supports from pediatric to adult health care services. In addition the project will address the exclusion of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color who are more heavily impacted by health care inequities and exclusion from health care research.

Recruiting Info:

We will work together to identify and engage 28-32 IDD stakeholders from four different groups: individuals with IDD, family members, researchers, and medical providers. We have also developed a diverse Stakeholder Advisory Committee that will contribute, provide feedback throughout project implementation, and co-create project deliverables.
